Head of Planned Investment – Nottingham Community Housing Association
Head of Planned Investment, Nottingham Community Housing Association
Nottingham | Hybrid working
Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) has been part of the fabric of the East Midlands for over 50 years. We’re a leading social landlord and care provider with a clear social purpose — to provide safe, affordable homes and person-centred support that helps people live independently and with dignity.
Today, we manage over 10,00 homes, support thousands of customers each year, and employ more than 1,200 people who share a commitment to doing the right thing — not the easy thing. We’re a values-driven organisation with a strong sense of place, a positive reputation, and a clear focus on sustainability, inclusion, and community impact.
As we invest in the long-term quality, safety and energy performance of our homes, we’re recruiting a new Head of Planned Investment to lead our capital investment and retrofit programmes. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Assets, this role will play a key part in shaping how we deliver asset investment — balancing strategic planning, operational delivery, and a drive for continuous improvement.
You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for internal investment projects and property retrofitting, and will work closely with peers across Asset Management, Finance, and Operational Support to ensure our investment plans are insight-led, financially sound, and aligned with customer needs and organisational priorities.
We’re looking for a confident and collaborative leader with a background in planned works, capital delivery or property investment — ideally in social housing or a similarly complex, regulated environment (NHS & Higher Education for example). You’ll bring strong financial acumen, a track record of delivering change, and the ability to develop people and teams in a way that brings others with you.
If you want to be part of a high-performing, forward-looking organisation with deep local roots and a strong social mission, we’d love to hear from you.
